Llandudno Victorian Extravaganzer

First May bank holiday weekend

Event 2 miles from Camp site

The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza takes place on the first May bank holiday weekend each year. It takes over the main streets of Llandudno for the full three days, bringing Vintage attractions, Entertainment and Fun fair.

This fantastic event is free to attend and has many free aspects.

One of the many highlights of the weekend is The Daily Parade which is a ‘must see’. Each day the Parade will commence at 1.00pm and will be announced by the Llandudno Town Band outside the Albert pub in Madoc St playing the Welsh National Anthem.

The Parade will then leave Madoc St to Lloyd St and will visit Deganwy Ave, Gloddaeth Ave to the Promenade. Turn right into St Georges Place through the main arena, passing the Town Hall where it is customary to raise hats to the Mayor of Llandudno.

As the parade passes the main arena the Steam traction engines will disperse, taking up their positions for the day providing wonderful photographic opportunities, recreating Victorian Llandudno.

The Parade is sure to enthrall you and to name just a few of our magnificent participants, The Royal Welsh Band, The Rhyl Silver Band, The Wirral Silver Band, The Lancashire Fusiliers, The Newtown Band, The Clwyd Army Band, an assortment of Town Criers (ear plugs required), Our Mayor and his VIP’s in a vintage vehicle, Bollywood Burnout, Moverz n Shakerz Zumba dancers, Rebound Gymnastics, Autonomy Dance Group, The North Wales Bird Trust, Our Victorian dressed folk, An array of magnificent Steam traction engines, Harley the Clown, Bernese dogs and carts, Stilt walkers, Human statues, A Penny Farthing bicycle, and the list goes on (forget your camera at your peril).
